Great car park, close to the lock and towpaths on the canal.You can walk the tow path along canal as far as you want, the walk up to the lock is not far, they have an interesting "Space" walk along the way you pass the planets and at the lock you will find the Sun. Each of the planets both in diameter and distance form the sun are to the same scale as the sun. An interesting way to visualise just how empty space is, our planet is a tiny thing spinning around the sun a long way away and we are one of the inner planets. Space is mostly empty.
Fantastic place to go and relax, lovely cafe adjoining the carpark. Lovely Nd tranquil. Definitely recommend the ploughman's . Very friendly staff. Will definitely be going back.
