Great facilities and some fine pupils and staff ....unfortunately new management never got to grips with behaviour problems whilst I worked there. Hope by now they have some sort of proper enforced SLT backed detention system and the wherewithal to promptly ramp it up and properly suspend or expel, some very poorly brought up, very destructive, local kids. The Head needs a strong, assertive and principled team empowered around her; not sure she inherited one. Am sorry so many good kids have had their education so disrupted by the few allowed to run riot, despite many staff member's best efforts.
I would have to vehemently disagree with the headteacher here who claims that this school provides a positive, engaging, supportive and purposeful environment because sadly the school cannot keep children safe from bullying. Every child has the right to an education and to be kept safe at all times but sadly this is not the case at this school
School must be so proud that the teenager's causing all the trouble in the town centre, with drinking abuse and vandalism attend their wonderful school
Nice place, Staff alright, at least when i used to go there. The catering staff can be very kind if you're kind back and give extra food if nearing the end of lunch.The teachers are fun to talk to and interactive with with them all happy to be there, but when issues occur, dependent on what it is they won't do much or at least won't help as much as you need.Was bullied there but in the end it stopped only a small percent due to the staff and more to do with me getting older and taking more advice from family than staff.
the school is horrible my child was bullied to no end and the school blamed it on her plus the teachers did not care at all about my child which made her feel stupid and very isolated
