I have monthly appointments and fortnightly prescriptions. I find the staff to be helpful and polite, would recommend the practise to friends and family
My children have been with this surgery for many years but thankfully don't need to attend that often. This week we have needed to book a wound check for burns, the minor injuries nurse who first treated said it was imperative it was checked every 2 days due to the nature of the injury. Receptionist advises there are no nurses appointments for 4 days! No alternative solution offered other than to go back to minor injuries so now I'm sat at minor injuries with a two and half wait and a very anxious young person for a redressing!
The waiting times are a absolute joke in this surgery! If we were late as patients we would be made to rebook but it's perfectly ok that I have been sat here waiting for 50 mins with a child with autism and ADHD that can not tolerate long waits, last time I had a appointment here it was a 35 minute wait past my appointment time!!! The receptionists are rude and I've been missed diagnosed a few times whilst being at this surgery, I think it's time I find a competent surgery maybe with actual care towards patients
The doctors here are great, it is just a terrible shame that you have to wait forever to get an appointment, the opening hours are not the greatest as they only open Mon-Fri and never at the weekends, they even close the phone line at lunchtime, which is when a lot of people may try and call for an appointment. I work away a lot so I have to book time off work to attend an appointment. Saturday opening would be a massive help to a lot of people, and maybe will help to reduce the ridiculous waiting times for appointments.
